Made leaving Lithuania harder.
The roads so far are much better than Latvia but it's so difficult to find wifi, But I found it at a lovelly, friendly, and very reasonable, hotel Grizulo Ratai www.grizuloratai.eu a5 Marijampole-Kaunas. Had a frustrating day on roads as bad as any in Latvia.

June Latvia
Some of Latvia's roads are the worst I have encoutered in Europe, reel bone braking car wrecking roads, but a lovelly country with friendly, helpful people. The fishponds at Nagli offers some of the best birding in Europe with many outstanding birds.
Saw my first Racoon Dog sadly just as It ran into a car, it was still alive so I took it to a local animal shelter, but I fear the worst. They are common in the area.
Not my photo wish it was.
Whinchat
Great Reed-warbler
Marsh Harrier the most numerous raptor in the Baltic States.

Estonia June 2016
24th
On a ferry to Tallinn from Helsinki.
I just found out that Britain has voted to leave the EU. I find this upsetting and a huge step backwards.
25th
Also saw Spotted Eagle, Grey Partridge, White Stork, Crane
Pleased to get a photo of a Turtle Dove, this bird in in sharp decline mainly due to changing agriculture in Senegal mainly peanut farming. We all like to moan about large organisations but I would like to congratulate the RSPB team in Senegal who's work largely goes unnoticed.
